Occasionally I get lucky when I go through my twitter followers or look at an artist someone recommended but I’m pretty sure I hit the jackpot last night. Tyller Gummersall a Colorado Singer/Songwriter actually got me to sit down and listen for a long time. Truth be told it’s playing as I make my coffee right now. The first track that played on his Soundcloud was “Love Me When I’m Down”. I was impressed, to say the least, and definitely intrigued when I read that his latest album had gained a lot of attention in the country music world. Seeing as the producer was Lloyd Maines, the Austin City Limits Hall of Fame member (cough, cough) I knew that the music would meet my expectations but would Tyller?
Hint: He did not disappoint. “This House” was one of the tracks from the album “Long Ride Home” that proved it was everything I had hoped it would be. Tyller has a style built of sweet and strong. It’s something that most male country singers can’t quite master. I think Country music could use a few more good guys and Tyller could easily blow the rest of them away both lyrically and vocally.
So this Twitter Tuesday was pretty great, right? Send me the artists you are listening to and make sure to show Tyller some love and tell him I sent you!
